KNOWING JESUS

                                                                             

One very profound question that the all knowing(Omni-potent) Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ asked His disciples is a question of Identity viz Matt  16 : 15 says He saith unto them ,But whom say ye that I am.   

He did not ask: after the number of hectares of land they or their families had, the number of miracles that had been done, how much they had with the treasurer amongst other ephemeral concerns. Little wonder the apostle cried out in Phil 3:10 that I may know him and the power of His resurrection, the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.

 

Jesus came to do three broad things: (a)tear down the Devil, sin and all forms evils and limitations that he(the devil) stands for.1 John 3:8b For this purpose the son of man was manifested ,that he might destroy the WORKS of the devil. (b) Restoring men back to God, bringing back the Edenic authority and experience. Gen 1:26 says and God said let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over all creature adapted. (c) Raising disciples who would carry on the divine assignment of propagating Him (the gospel). Mark 16:15 and he said unto them, go ye into the entire world and preach the gospel to every creature

Knowing full well that it our experience of who Jesus is and our reaction to this that guarantees a place in heaven and also our dominating on earth (by His standard only) we will hence consider a series on who Jesus is as unveiled by our anchor passage. LET’S CELEBRATE OUR RISEN SAVIOUR HALLELUYAH.
