WHY DO WE NEED TO BE FRUITFUL CONT'D
It is God’s expectation: God expects all
things created to be fruitful as revealed in the conservation of a pair of all
created when world was destroyed by the flood. Gen 7:16 says and they that went in went in male and female of all
flesh as God as God had commanded him and the Lord shut him in. Our God and
father simply expects the spared to reproduce. Matt 21:19 says And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it
and found nothing thereon, but leaves only and said unto it let no fruit grow
on thee henceforward forever, And presently the fig tree withered away. The
proper study of the verse shows two things expectation and punishment for lack
of fruit, God expects all living things to be fruitful.
It brings glory to God: John 15:8 says Herein is my Father glorified,
that ye bear much fruit so shall ye be my disciples. When
we bear fruit our father in heaven is glorified, we bring glory to our God by
bearing fruits, in fact when we win souls, spiritual fruitfulness there is joy
in heaven. Luke 15:7a I say unto you, that
likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repented.
God will punish lack of
fruits:
Matt 7:19 says every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and
cast into the fire. God frowns at all issues of lack of fruit
and such will not hesitate in punishing such let’s not take the grace of God in
vain.
HOW TO BE FRUITFUL:
Be a child of God indeed: ‘it is not
possible to be sincerely connected to God and the fruitless’. John 15:5 says I
am the vine, ye are the branches, he that abideth in me and I in him, the same
bringeth forth much fruit FOR WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING. Our
fruitfulness in this kingdom is embedded in our contact and continuous connection
with God.
