In this kingdom, there are no achievers we are all receivers,
this understanding should naturally kill greed in us. It is greed as carried
out by just one of the Israelite that made them loose THIRTY SIX MEN to Ai a small town.
Joshua 7:5a says and the men of Ai smote of them about thirty
six men.
Greed makes men loose and this happens by disobedience to
God’s instruction carried out by manipulation of God’s word to suit actions
birthed by it, or manipulating people/gathering for oneself, expressing untamed
desire for things and control/influence even at the expense of the Holy Spirit.
Turning of God’s/godly purpose into personal agenda. And all forms of me, myself
and I above every other even God.
As the saying goes: ” the difference between the Red sea and
other useful seas is that while the red sea only and always takes it doesn’t give”
hence it bad/useless and unattractive nature. We are to be channels not depots
this is epitomized by the apostles in Acts 4:34a neither was there any among
that lacked.
While it is totally ungodly and unreasonable to be a whole
and consistent liability to anyone/institution( Paul the apostle who by
inspiration/waiting on God and serious/meritorious work wrote twenty eight percent
of the new testament in 2 Thessalonians
3:8 says neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought but we wrought with labour and
travail night and day,that we might not be chargeable to any of you )it also
suffices to balance it by saying if a brethren or worse case scenario your shepherd
lacks what you have in excess YOU ARE GREEDY. We cant always want the power of Pentecost
without following the principles that led to it.
OUR COMING TOGETHER MUST BE FOR THE BETTER. With this we
have come to the end of this series a new one as already inspired by the
Holy-Spirit begins next week by God’s grace shalom.
