KNOWING JESUS 5 (HEAD OF THE BODY(THE CHURCH)

The price that one pays or work done energy expended to have a thing is what gives the authority over it, a summation of all done to get a thing is what gives control over that thing. Jesus Christ out of a love that is simply inexpressible with words paid the ultimate price with His life for the body hence He is the head of the church triumphant Eph 5:25 says husbands, love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it. Christ is the head of the church for this among other reasons which are cataloged thus.  

He birthed the church, premeditated her incessant existence by raising disciples who in turn continued to raise men till the gospel got to us. Little wonder He made bold to say in Matt 16:18 which says and I say unto thee, that thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build MY CHURCH and the gates of hell shall not prevail. Halleluyah to the source of the church.

Christ is the head of the church because prophecy went ahead of Him as such Psalm 118:22 says the stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner, this the master reiterated in Matt 21:42 which says Jesus saith unto them, did ye never read in the scriptures, the stone which the builders rejected the same is become the head of the corner.

Christ is the head of the church because God made it so Eph 1 :22 says and hath put all things under His feet and gave him to be the leader over all things to the church.

All church that is Christ’s, really sincere about the usage of the name of Jesus, believes that He died for them and are expecting to go to the heaven he went to prepare, usually have human leaders but has Christ as the valid/unquestioned head and controller ,He is the head of the body i.e the church universal.

WHY WORK FOR GOD CONT'D....

1.     It has reward: Ex 23:25-27 says  And ye shall serve the Lord your God and he shall bless thy bread and thy water and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren in thy land, the number of thy days I will fulfill.

I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee

God’s blessing abides with those who work in His vineyard, and not only in this world but also in the world to come. You cannot be serving God sincerely and your life lacks his servicing

 Isa 45: 19 says I have spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth, I said not unto the seed of Jacob, seek ye me in vain, I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

2.     Called by grace: There is a selected few who by grace were called to do specific assignment for God, the owner of the vineyard reaches out to them specifically with a specific mandate to be executed.

3.     It is a command: One of the most important statement of men is in their will, while Jesus was departing here he gave an open employment letter in His will from earth, He spoke thus:

Mark 16:15 says And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

This is a command which’s immediate result creates joy in heaven

Luke 15:7 says I say unto you that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Will you not want heaven to rejoice because of your fruit?

WHY WORK FOR GOD 1

One of the major disparity between human and animal is that animals acts by instinct and human acts by reason. 

1 Sam 17:29 says And David said, what have I now done? Is there not a cause.

David responding to the load of enquiries and insults hurled at him by his brother for behaving in a manner, as in making attempts to handle Goliath

We thus with the help of the Holy Spirit are exploring seven reasons to work for God.

1.     It is an honour: This has been dealt with in this book, but there is no greater honour than working for the king of kings, the end of bigness, end of greatness, end of strength, the rock of ages. The owner and creator of heavens and the earth. I bow before thy supremely majestic throne.

Ps 84:10 says for a day in thy court is better than a thousand. I had rather be a door keeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

2.     To be like Him: Gen 1 the first few verses show the divinity at work, serious work that was done for straight six days we cannot do less especially in God’s vineyard. John 9:4 says I must work the works of Him that sent me while it is day, the night cometh, when no man can work. We are in a vineyard where everyone including God works, are you not idle?

KNOWING JESUS 4 (BEFORE ALL THINGS)

Activity can’t predate existence, one can’t act when one has not existed, and we must first be created or come into existence before we can start to act.

Psalm 33:6 says by the word of the Lord were Heavens made and all the host of them by the breadth of his mouth, we have established earlier that Jesus is the word of God. Jesus is the word of God and if all things were made by the word it therefore means that Jesus was before the world was created. 

This truth is spiritual hence He was almost stoned when he revealed n part this truth John 8:58-59 which says Jesus said unto them, verily, verily I say unto you before Abraham was, I am. They took up stones to cast at him but Jesus hid himself  and went out of the temple going through the midst of them.(hid himself, going through the midst of them, divinity at work).

Rev 2:8 says and unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write, these things saith the first and the last which was dead and is alive. Jesus is the only one who was dead and He is alive, He is the first and last His existence beats time and creature, he was before the beginning began halleluyah celebrate the risen Saviour our timeless king. Heb 13:8 says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever

LIFETIME LEARNERS.

When we stop learning we start dying.(Anonymous). Living in itself is learning and we learn to live.

Everybody learns in life the difference in all of us is the persons and things that we learn from when and where we learn that differs.

The cheapest form of learning is from God, this model is deep, the lessons are genuine, higher than that of men, sets the pace and void of error or mistakes, life is too short for us to make all the mistake and make attempt at correcting them.

Ex 36:1 says Then wrought Bezaleel and Oholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the lord put wisdom and understanding to know how to work for the service of the sanctuary according to all that the Lord had commanded.

These men were trained by God himself to fulfill eternal purpose in the sanctuary, God gave them skill, knowledge and understanding all we need to do is ask. Experience is good and invaluable but in His kingdom inspiration is better.

Matt 7:7 says Ask, and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be open unto you.

 Another form of learning is from people, there is nothing we are doing or going through that is alien.

Eccl 1:9 says The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be and that which is done is that which shall be done and there is no new thing under the sun.

Someone has gone ahead of us doing same thing and gone through same, on same vein our aspirations are already someone’s testimony.

One of the major reasons why God made us gregarious is to enable us learn and mentor each other, to move better, faster and quicker increase your source and pace of learning from people who have the same mission, and same spirit as yours they are everywhere find them..........
